The License Manager is the first screen you come to when you open Snapshot, for the first time and each subsequent time. When logging in on this page, log in to the Salesforce Org where the Snapshot application is installed. This ensures the license is authenticated to allow you to proceed to your workspace.
We typically recommend installing Snapshot into your Production Org as licensing a Production Org is simpler and more efficient than licensing a Sandbox or other type of environment. That being said, when logging in you can choose the following options:
- Saleforce DX
- Developer Edition
- Sandbox Account
- Production Account
- Custom Domain
- OAuth Endpoint
Important Note: Whenever using your custom domain, use the my.salesforce.com link rather than the lightning.force link. This ensures a successful login.
Other Uses
Besides the very important part of logging into your Salesforce Org, there are other aspects of the License Manager we want to point out as well. The first tab on the right-hand side of the screen has great Tips & Tricks for using Snapshot. We highly recommend getting acquainted with these Tips & Tricks. If you learn better by watching videos, you can click the "Intro Video" in the bottom right.
The next tab you'll come across is the "What's New" tab. This includes dates and details of new features/functionalities released in Snapshot. If you need further assistance or want to learn more about a certain feature, feel free to click the "Schedule Training" button to schedule a 1-hour call with one of our Support Analysts via Calendly.
Finally, there is the "Current Version" tab. While the Snapshot application installed in your Salesforce Org is updated automatically, without your need to update it, you will periodically need to update the Metazoa Player on your computer. This tab helps you take care of that with the "Upgrade Metazoa" button in the bottom right.
