The Data Dictionary can generate color coded reports for custom objects and fields. Use the Org Dictionary to generate reports for the other 250 different metadata types. The Profiles and Permission Sets report has special capabilities for looking at profiles and permission sets. This interface is available by right clicking an item on the desktop and also from the Options Menu.
